In March 2020 we edited a special edition of JaamZIN Creative magazine with artworks reflecting on the coronavirus crisis.
The second/third wave of the crisis is back, it seems COVID-19 will be with us on a longer run effecting radically our lives. Artists are also seriously affected in the crisis.
We would like to edit a second special edition of the JaamZIN Creative magazine dedicated to artworks inspired during the crisis. We accept submissions in different categories:
- Painting, drawing, graphic arts
- Illustration, design
- Digital art, concept art, (we can not display .gif and motion files in the magazine)
- Photography
- Sculpture
- Mixed media art, experimental art
We accept submissions here in the comment section and the most popular artworks will be selected to be featured in the magazine.

PANDEMIA by Jordan Plotnek Acrylic on gallery canvas
48" x 36" 2020
When the first wave of COVID-19 brought about rapid lockdowns and border-closures I was left stranded in Mexico at a little beach-side village called Sayulita. This piece was inspired by the colourful cobble-stone streets of my new temporary home, using whichever colours were available at the nearest art store. The different interlocking shapes and colours are symbolic representations of the various peoples and countries that were affected by the sudden wave of panic created by the health crisis. The work speaks to the fact that global issues are not confined by politics or borders, and how we all need to work together to come out on top.
