Haydn Dickenson
17th of Oct 2021- 16th of Nov 2021
painter

Haydn Dickenson was born in Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom where he still lives and works, specialising in large, subtly exuberant free abstract pieces.
In his unique work on canvas and board, collage, acrylics, oils and other media collaborate in a suggestive dance of colour, texture and form - at times urgent and vital, at others calm, meditative and spiritual.
Haydn is inspired by the natural world, and by Humanity, Psychology, Mysticism and Spirituality. Musical references also appear – His former career was as a Concert Pianist.

Introduction
This exhibition showcases the work of UK based Abstract Painter Haydn Dickenson.
Artist and photographer Manon Vuillermet has written of Haydn: “There are many diverse facets of sensibility to this man, whose creativity vibrates with an unbridled and intuitive passion.”
Exuberant yet sensitive and thought-provoking, Haydn's work is infused with his love and reverence for the natural world, his immersion in music, and his interest in psychology, mysticism, the subconscious and dreams.
Haydn has painted all his life, but it is only over the past thirteen years that he has pursued and enjoyed a successful international career as an abstract painter of vision and originality. His work is never predictable, nor does it (contrary to the assumption of some) reflect absolutely the Artist's changeable moods. A red painting may not necessarily indicate anger, nor does a canvas in sombre hues betray a 'dark night of the soul'. The Yin and Yang of creation is far more mysterious than that. Haydn feels that paintings tend to be channelled, using the artist as a mouthpiece, rather than being deliberately 'made' by the artist. A painting has a life of its own; it may take itself, during the hours, weeks, or months of its gestation and creation, wheresoever it will, the painter following its often capricious lead with fascination.
Haydn Dickenson's paintings are sought-after by collectors worldwide, being particularly popular in Scandinavia, Germany and the Middle East.
