Swati is a Singapore based abstract artist, born and brought up in India. The endless possibilities of color, texture, shape, and the orderliness in the seeming disorderliness of nature inspire Swati’s art, and find a voice in her work through acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
Her art practice is exploratory, often oscillating between structure and spontaneity; somewhere in the midst of this contest of ideas, a narrative takes shape, a story emerges, which she strives to present in a visually engaging manner. While she is mainly self-taught, her subsequent training at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, has given a sense of purpose and direction to her work.
