APARTMENT

We would like to invite you to our apartment on Joteyki Street in Warsaw's Ochota district, which is filled with sofas, beds, tables, chairs, clothes and various objects of everyday life.

This residential environment, which you enter, offers an experience of art objects that are arranged in a residential interior. Artifacts from different orders and aesthetics are combined in seemingly logical and sensible sequences: a bed is draped with sheets, a lamp hangs from the ceiling, a table stands in the corner of the room. However, no object is what it seems. We are in the apartment, but who really lives here? To whom do these objects belong?

Is the state of confusion created here an escape from another state of confusion? Is the phantomness of the objects used a dialogue with tradition, the cave and its shadows, Parrasios' curtain, or an appeal to AI?

It's hard to say whether you feel comfortable and young in our “Apartment”, whether you want to stay here for tea, meet with friends, go out aimlessly on the terrace, ask a question, grow old, or whether you are completely disoriented and want to quickly run out of here and forget.
