Zürich-based artist Beate Tubach over the time developed a passion for photography. Falling in love with digital photo editing appears to give resource to go beyond editing and creating something new, mostly unexpected.
Although primarily a painter, sometimes Tubach’s process sees her overlaying paint with photographic images to create symphonic collages of colour and pattern. Both forms of creation – painting and digital photo editing - inform and influence each other within her practice, revealing new depths to the artist’s work.
"I recently discovered that photo editing lets me express fast and clear - there’s an ease of handling occurring while catching that momentum when the download impulse comes. Decoding the incoming frequencies for a new expression, a new piece of art, becomes effortless and exciting. I would call it „The Ease of Chance“. "
