Nik Ad is a New York / Connecticut, USA based artist. His concept-driven acrylic paintings have appeared on the covers of Time and Newsweek magazines, as well as in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USAToday, The Washington Post, U.S.News & World Report, Chicago Tribune, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Playboy, Fortune, Rand Review, Lurzer's Archive, Harvard Business Review and countless others.

It accompanied the article Nature Takes Only Tiny Steps but Still Surpasses Our Reckoning by David P. Barash.  The article tackled the issue of evolution’s lack of clear boundaries.

It was published in Jan/Feb. 2018 edition with the essay titled Kinship Without Connection by Mark Matousek. The story described completely opposite political views of two biological brothers.
