Aleksandra Bankowicz is an independent photographer and filmmaker with 20 years of experience within both fields. GEOMETRY OF SHANGHAI
There is something neutral, synchronised, mono-sound in the streets of Shanghai.
A feeling that doesn’t, in any sense match the description of a 26 million people mega-city.
I arrive in Shanghai and hear the silence, see the things in monochrome.
I try to make a sense out of it, put it into some sort of order. I look at the pictures and this longing for answers is clearly visible. It’s a geometry of things and feelings.
