I have lived in Southeast Asia for 35 years, working as a freelance artist and writer, and the chiaroscuro tropical milieu has become my default setting in so many ways. My passions range from art and languages to movies and writing and storytelling has long been the driving force behind my creative impulses. I have drawn and painted since childhood and it is an obsession that has never loosened its grip.
The visual realm of movies and television have both played a big part in my life, and after working on two movie sets here in Malaysia, Entrapment and Anna and the King, the storytelling aspect began to feature more prominently in my work and I decided to study for an M.A. in Screenwriting at the London Film School, as well as taking courses in storyboarding. A growing interest in transmedia has now led me to explore the world of graphic novels, all of which are based on movie screenplays I have written. I use both traditional and digital media for graphic novel and fine art work and relish the opportunity of being a one man army in producing my artwork and graphic novels.
