The Mad Hatter, Grey Matter Festival 2019 is delighted to bring, Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate, a rather unique music duo, consisting one half Consultant Neuropathologist, Dr Malcolm Galloway, and one half full-time bass player, Mark Gatland. to Edinburgh. This remarkable combination of creative talent and neuroscientific knowledge will captivate Mad Hatter, Grey Matter audiences by offering insight to the evolution of the brain through music and song.

Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate write many songs inspired by science. Their first album was about invisible disabilities, the second about artificial intelligence and the most recent about memory.

As well as being a musician, Malcolm Galloway is also a consultant neuropathologist, an Honorary Senior Lecture at University College London and a Director of the Academy of Medical Educators.

Fiddler's Elbow - Camden

1 Malden Road, NW5 3HS London, United Kingdom

2pm till late

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate and friends in association with London Prog Gigs present a one day festival of progressive music at the Fiddler's Elbow - Camden, London (UK), with profits to be donated to the World Land Trust.

The World Land Trust buys threatened rainforest, to protect in trust, to stop them getting chopped down. Trees make oxygen, without which breathing is a bit pointless. So protecting the trees is good for the wildlife, and good for us staying alive. A win-win really. We are aiming to be able to raise enough to protect at least an acre.

The event will showcase the diversity of modern progressive rock and related genres.
