Mary is a Florida-based artist, creating bold, semi-abstract artworks, hand drawn or hand painted, inspired by her fascination with oceans, marine life, and tropical islands. Flowing lines giving a sense of movement, positive/negative shapes, and stark contrasts combine to showcase the playfulness and beauty that exists where nature flourishes without human interruption. Pieces in her One Line Design collection consist of only one shape created with one continuous line, representing our connection to all things. Each piece is sketched first in pencil, on paper or canvas, then outlined and filled in with inks or paints.

Originally from Chicago, she now lives on the Gulf coast where, along with her travels, she absorbs rich inspiration from the ocean, up close and personal. Her hope is to inspire the viewer’s own fascination with these wild, beautiful, and fragile creatures and environments.
