Anna Matykiewicz is an exciting Polish, Ireland-based artist whose works have featured in exhibitions and collections in the UK and Greece. In her aim to express dialogues that exist between the objects she paints and herself, she produces portrait paintings full of feeling and expression.

"Iota" collage, acrylic, ink on paper, 76x51cm. Iota is the ninth letter of the Greek alphabet ( Ι, ι ), transliterated as ‘i’. I like to related this image to darker aspect of human nature.

Shifting from light hues to darker, more intense tones, she mixes colour and light according to her own personal experiences and intended represented moods.

"Bluenotes" acrylic painting on canvas, 70x60cm. This piece is about contrast between red and blue. Blue tones supposed bring more calmness to the composition.
