The artist studied monumental painting at the Academy of design and arts in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She attended drawing, painting and composition courses of Vitaly Ivanovich Lenchin. In 2015 she received a scholarship from the Polish Minister of culture "Gaude Polonia", the artist was a resident at the University of arts in Poznan, Poland. Maria Drozdova works in such areas as painting, drawing, collage, photography, computer graphics, performance, installation.
The artist has participated in more than 40 exhibitions, both group and personal, in such countries as Ukraine, Poland, Italy, Germany, Denmark and others. Her works are in private collections in Ukraine, USA, Ireland, England, Poland, Canada in the collection of the Fund Spazio-Tempo Arte Italy, Museum of national history in Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark. I like to combine symbolism and expressionism in my works. I do not focus my work on one topic, I like the possibility of diversity.
