The Mood Series is a visual representation of the inner work we do as it relates to the various energy centres or chakras of our bodies as we progress through life.

The Blue throat chakra has an especially powerful role in the impact we have on the world. Known as the ‘Vishuddha’ in Sanskrit, this fifth chakra is located in the mid-point of the neck, and it’s the energy centre that gives us our abilities around self-expression and communication.

Yellow represents our solar plexus or Manipura, which deals with human ego, emotions and self-love.

Since childhood, Gursharn "Sharn" has been most comfortable outdoors in the exploration of life. Whether it was feeling the cool grass on bare feet, splashing enthusiastically in fresh rain puddles or bringing home lady bugs and caterpillar friends, Sharn was always curious about the connection between all living things in the natural world. A childhood tragedy only strengthened this questioning and has allowed her now in her adult life to create from a deeper space.

Nature is a temple in which living pillars

Sometimes give voice to confused words;

Man passes there through forests of symbols

Which look at him with understanding eyes

Self-taught, and curious about all forms of art, Sharn sees her self as an experimenter and creator who is most comfortable working with acrylics and watercolours.

She lives just outside Toronto, Canada with her 2 teenage children.
