"I travel and paint the places I visit- the landscapes, towns and cities. I work mostly in oils, on a small scale, plein air. I go to Europe, North Africa, New York and Latin America. I re-visit Peru this January. I`m 48. I live in southern Brazil, in Florianopolis. I was born in Zambia and brought up in Scotland. I studied at Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art between 1986 and 1991.

I have had illustration work published in The Daily Telegraph, The Times Educational Supplement, The Guardian, The Spectator and Carlos Magazine. I won the Dedalo Art Grant in 2011 and in 2016, I won the Ann Redpath Painting Prize. I've shown at the Royal Academies in London and Edinburgh, at Rose Issa's gallery in London, and at the Union Gallery in Edinburgh and Steven Walton's Gallery in Bury St Edmunds."
