Surrey based model and songwriter Elena-Ramona has been confirmed a place in the finals of Ms Great Britain that will take place next February in Leicester.
Having suffered with anxiety, depression and issues with her weight from a young age, the model wishes that her entry into such a competition will inspire other hopefuls to follow their dreams and face their fears. She is also hoping her entry will spark a healthy body image movement and message.
Elena says:
“ I did not have a healthy relationship with myself growing up. In magazines and on tv I
would see women representing my generation who I could not relate to, and it made me
question my career path. I would love to be a role model and inspiration to anyone in that
position now. I want to be the person that I needed when I was a child.
To win this competition would be an honour, however to be given the opportunity to get this far and raise awareness for such a current and important cause is a privilege.
The main reason I have entered this competition is to promote mental health and a healthy lifestyle. I have written a song called “ Neon Lights “ which was written to promote mental health in a positive light. ”
