Visual artist Maryam Moshiry

I am an Iranian painter who lives and work in San Francisco. My paintings are my journey through life and an extension of my past, present and future. I use images and symbols to show my joy, sadness and hope.

I usually start with a story in my mind and use colors and shapes to make it happen. At the end it’s all about feeling.

The three paintings here have the same story. One is hope, one is the feeling of passion and loneliness and one is about doubt and questioning the beauty and peace of your surrounding. Each one represents my feelings at the time of creating them.
