Mariia Elizarova is an artist and designer specialized in woven textiles and surface design, passionate about fine arts, colors, and materials. Her work ranges from skillfully drawn illustrations and watercolor paintings to commercial textile development that requires deep technical knowledge.
“I always loved drawing. When I was a child, I´ve been covering the walls of my parent´s place with drawings of fairy creatures and places I´ve never been to. Nowadays I would channel my artistic energy to turn creative ideas into real products. I would draw watercolor flowers and, being fascinated with an intricate play of the watercolor shades, challenge myself to turn these qualities into a woven fabric and admire the way different threads interlace in a painterly manner”.
