I am Ilya Petrov from Moscow, Russia, and I love film photography. I started nearly 10 years ago with an old Soviet "Zenith E" camera. The lens from that camera, 58mm f/2.0 Helios, is still in use with my Pentax K1000 from time to time, although I prefer native K-mount lenses.
For me it is all about darkroom magic of creation. I process black-and-white films myself, I also make silver-gelatin wet prints. Being a big fan of Ansel Adams work, I do some landscape photography, but it has been mostly portraits recently.
